1.3 Tractor Composition

Tractor framework - half-frames.
The BELARUS-921.6 tractor undercarriage - driven front and rear wheels, with pneu-
matic low-pressure tyres. The steerable front wheels.
The tractor is equipped with the four-stroke piston-type four-cylinder internal com-
bustion engine with cylinders in-line vertical positioning, with diesel fuel direct injection and
ignition by compression. Corresponds to the environment protection requirements Stage 4.
Combined engine lubrication system: some parts are lubricated under pressure and
some by spraying. The lubrication system consists of the oil sump, oil pump, liquid-oil heat ex-
changer, oil filter with paper filtering element.
The fuel feed system of the engine consists of:
- the accumulating fuel feed system (Common RAIL), which consists of the high-pressure
fuel pump, nozzle, high-pressure fuel accumulator, engine operation environment condition sen-
sors (fuel and air pressure and temperature), electromagnetic actuators (fuel consumption regu-
lator, nozzles' solenoid valves), operation and communication control circuits electronic unit, low-
pressure fuel lines, high-pressure fuel lines;
- secondary fuel filter;
- coarse fuel filter.
Engine start system - electrical starting system. The engine starting aid under condi-
tions of environment low temperatures - glow-plugs.
The air charge system consists of the turbocharger, air-supply passage and charging
air-cooling system.
The turbocharger is designed according to following arrangement: radial inward turbine
and centrifugal single-stage compressor with wheels cantilevered mounting in reference to the
supports.
The air filtering system is equipped with the air cleaner (made by Donaldson) of dry
type with two paper filtering elements. This air cleaner has two cleaning stages.
The charging air cooling system is of radiator type. CAC radiator is intended for cooling
an air, which is delivered into the intake manifold.
The cooling system is of closed circuit design with forced circulation of a cooling fluid by
the centrifugal pump. The water pump is driven by the V-belt on the crankshaft pulley. The
thermostat is intended to accelerate the engine heating after starting and for an automatic
temperature conditions adjustment under various loads and environment air temperatures.
Two stages of the selective catalytic reduction (SCR1, SCR2) are additionally installed
into the exhaust gas system in order to provide for required chemical composition of exhaust
gases according to the environmental requirements of Stage 4.
Friction clutch - friction-type, single-disk, spring-loaded type with mechanical control. FC lin-
ings - asbestos-free (optionally metal-ceramic).
Gear box - synchronised, fixed-ratio, with synchromesh reduction gearbox, 14F+4R.
The BELARUS-921.6 tractor optionally can be equipped by the transmission with follow-
ing component units:
- synchromesh gear box and synchromesh increasing gearbox (GB 14F+4R);
- synchromesh gear box and reverse gear (GB 7F+6R);
- mechanical gear box and mechanical reduction gearbox (GB 18F+4R).
