Configure an IPv4 address and a mask for each interface on Router B, and configure IPv4 as
well as IPv6 addresses and masks for each interface on Router A, Router C, and Router D based
on
Step 2 Enable IPv6 as well as global IPv4 and IPv6 topologies on the routers supporting the IPv4/IPv6
dual stack and enable a global IPv4 topology on Router B.
# Enable global IPv4 and IPv6 topologies on router A.
[RouterA] ip topology red
[RouterA] ipv6 topology blue
The configurations on Router C and Router D are the same as that on router A.
# Enable the global IPv4 topology on Router B.
[RouterB] ip topology red
Step 3 Configure basic IS-IS functions and link costs.
For details about the configuration of basic IS-IS functions, see
Functions.
# Set the cost of the link from Router A to Router B to 4.
[RouterA] interface gigabitethernet 1/0/0
[RouterA-GigabitEthernet1/0/0] isis cost 4
[RouterA-GigabitEthernet1/0/0] quit
The configuration of other link costs is the same as that of the link from Router A to Router B.
Step 4 Create an IPv4 topology instance red for each router and an IPv6 topology instance blue for
Router A, Router C, and Router D.
# Associate an IS-IS process with the IPv4 topology instance red and IPv6 topology instance
blue on Router A.
[RouterA] isis
[RouterA-isis-1] ipv6 enable topology ipv6
[RouterA-isis-1] cost-style wide
[RouterA-isis-1] topology red topology-id 10
[RouterA-isis-1-topology-red] quit
[RouterA-isis-1] ipv6 topology blue topology-id 20
[RouterA-isis-1-topology-blue] quit
[RouterA-isis-1] quit
The configurations on Router C and Router D are the same as that on Router A.
# Associate an IS-IS process with the IPv4 topology instance red on Router B.
[RouterB] isis
[RouterB-isis-1] cost-style wide
[RouterB-isis-1] topology red topology-id 10
[RouterB-isis-1-topology-red] quit
[RouterB-isis-1] quit
Step 5 Associate the interfaces with specified topology instances.
# Use the interfaces on Router A as an example.
[RouterA] interface gigabitethernet 1/0/0
[RouterA-GigabitEthernet1/0/0] ip topology red enable
[RouterA-GigabitEthernet1/0/0] isis topology red
[RouterA-GigabitEthernet1/0/0] quit
[RouterA] interface gigabitethernet 2/0/0
