Procedure
Step 1 Configure an IP address for each interface.
Configure IP addresses according to
configuration, see the configuration file.
Step 2 Configuring basic RIP functions.
# Configure Router A.
<RouterA> system-view
[RouterA] rip 1
[RouterA-rip-1] version 2
[RouterA-rip-1] network 2.0.0.0
[RouterA-rip-1] network 3.0.0.0
[RouterA-rip-1] quit
# Configure Router B.
<RouterB> system-view
[RouterB] rip 1
[RouterB-rip-1] version 2
[RouterB-rip-1] network 2.0.0.0
[RouterB-rip-1] network 4.0.0.0
[RouterB-rip-1] network 172.16.0.0
[RouterB-rip-1] quit
# Configure Router C.
<RouterC> system-view
[RouterC] rip 1
[RouterC-rip-1] version 2
[RouterC-rip-1] network 3.0.0.0
[RouterC-rip-1] network 4.0.0.0
[RouterC-rip-1] quit
# Configure Router D.
<RouterD> system-view

# After the configurations are complete, run the display rip neighbor command, and you can
see that RIP neighbor relationships among Router A, Router B, and Router C have been
established. Take the display on Router A as an example.
Issue 02 (2014-09-30)
On Router A: RIP process ID (1), RIP version number (2), IP address of GE 1/0/0
(2.2.2.1/24), and IP address of GE 2/0/0 (3.3.3.1/24)
On Router B: RIP process ID (1), RIP version number (2), IP address of GE 1/0/0
(2.2.2.2/24), IP address of GE 2/0/0 (4.4.4.1/24), IP address of GE3/0/0 3/0/0
(172.16.1.1/24)
On Router C: RIP process ID (1), RIP version number (2), IP address of GE 1/0/0
(4.4.4.2/24), and IP address of GE 2/0/0 (3.3.3.2/24)
On Router D: RIP process ID (1), RIP version number (2), and IP address of GE 1/0/0
(172.16.1.2/24)
Local BFD discriminator on Router A (local1)
Minimum interval at which Router A receives BFD control packets from Router B
