Feature
A peer group is a group
of peers with the same
routing policies. After
a peer is added to a peer
group, it inherits the
configurations of this
peer group. When the
configurations of the
peer group are
changed, the
configurations of peers
in this group are
changed accordingly.
In an AS, one device
functions as a route
reflector and other
devices function as
clients. The clients
establish IBGP
connections with the
RR. The RR reflects
routes among the
clients, and therefore
BGP connections do
not need to be
established between
the clients.
It divides an AS into
several sub-ASs. A
full-mesh connection is
established between
every two IBGP peers
in each sub-AS, and an
EBGP connection is
established between
every two sub-ASs.

The device needs to be
reconfigured when the
network deployment
mode is switched from
non-confederation to
confederation. After
the reconfiguration, the
logical topology
changes accordingly.
