M-VOL and R-VOL Track Formats do not
match.
The operation failed, because the status
of specifed volume as following:
The emulation type of M-VOL and
R-VOL do not match.
The capacity of M-VOL and R-VOL do
not match.
If LUSE volume is specifed, the
capacity that each volume combined
in LUSE does not match
R-VOL Device Cache status is not active.
R-VOL DFW status is not active.
The specified R-VOL is not usable.
Remote Copy is not supported under the
R-VOL Device emulation type.
The RCU is still in another Remote Copy
condition.
The RCU is still in another Remote Copy
condition.
The Cache on the MCU is automatically
recovering. Please wait a few minutes
then retry again.
Change pair operation failed due to
communication error or the R-VOL status
is invalid.
Pair change was refused because M-VOL

Recommended Action
Check the track formats of the specified
M-VOL and R-VOL.
Confirm the following about the M-VOL
and R-VOL.
The emulation type is corresponding.
The capacity is corresponding.
If LUSE volume, the capacity that each
volume combined in LUSE are
corresponding.
If mainframe system, the capacity of
copy target is larger than that of copy
source.
Check the device cache status of R-VOL
from host. If it is off, set it on and retry.
If it cannot be set on, please contact HP
Technical Support.
Check the DFW status of the R-VOL from
the host. If it is off, set it on and retry. If
it cannot be set on, please contact HP
Technical Support.
Confirm the status of the specified R-VOL.
The device emulation type of the R-VOL
does not support Continuous Access
Synchronous. Please contact HP
Technical Support.
The RCU containing the R-VOL is being
used as the RCU for Continuous Access
Synchronous. Verify the status of the
RCU, if necessary delete the RCU, then
retry the operation.
The RCU containing the R-VOL is being

Click [OK] to acknowledge the message,
then retry the operation after the cache
has been recovered.
The pair option change operation failed,
either because a communication error
occurred or because the R-VOL status is
not valid. Verify the status, and view the
License Key window at the RCU side to
check the licensed capacity for
Mainframe Array Management. If the
licensed capacity for Mainframe Array
Management is insufficient, purchase a
license key for a larger capacity.
Resume the pair for the M-VOL, then retry
the operation.
The multiplatform feature has already
been installed in the RCU. Verify the
configuration of the RCU.
