Sky Writing parameter as a 64-bit IEEE floating point value
1.0 equals 1 µs.
Up to DLL 536, the following applies:
1/4: Sky Writing mode 1 will be activated
< 1/8: Sky-Writing (mode 1 or mode 2 or 3 when applicable) will be
deactivated
As of DLL 537, the following applies:
1/4: Sky-Writing mode 1 will be activated. From 1/8 to 1/4, Sky-Writing
will be activated, but Timelag = 0 will be internally applied.
< 1/8: Sky-Writing (mode 1 or mode 2 or 3 when applicable) will be
deactivated
control signals are switched on as a signed 32-bit value (see

Negative values smaller than the complete run-in phase will be clipped,
therefore the following applies automatically
– LaserOnShift approx. (–40) · Nprev (mode 1)
– LaserOnShift approx. (–20) · Nprev (mode 2 or 3)
This parameter (an unsigned 32-bit value) defines the duration of the run-
in phase (see
figure 43 on page
run-in duration / µs = 20 · Nprev (mode 1)
run-in duration / µs = 10 · Nprev (mode 2 or 3)
Allowed range: 0 Nprev (2
This parameter (an unsigned 32-bit value) defines the duration of the run-
out phase (see
figure 43 on page
run-out duration / µs = 20 · Npost (mode 1)
run-out duration / µs = 10 · Npost (mode 2 or 3)
