Activating Licensed Features
In order to enable advanced features, such as advanced routing protocols, you must purchase and
activate a license key. If you have purchased a license, you can proceed to activate your license as
described in this section. If you wish to purchase a license, use the Enterasys Customer Portal or
contact the Enterasys Networks Sales Department.
Purpose
To activate and verify licensed features.

When an advanced license is available, use this command to activate licensed features. If this is
available on your SecureStack C2 switch, a unique license key will display in the show license
command output.

license advanced activation-key

Note: To jump to a lower configuration mode, type exit at the command prompt. To revert back to
switch CLI, type exit from Privileged EXEC router mode.
Specifies your unique 16‐digit hexadecimal advanced licensing key.
Note: When available, the licensing key will display at the top of the show
running-config command output. To see an example of this output, refer
to

Type router and the
protocol name (and, for
OSPF, the instance ID)
