NOTE:
The fan filter is located on the bottom of the DDM-2000 OC-3 shelf that is
installed immediately below the fan shelf. It is held in place by magnetic
strips. To remove the filter, simply pull it out. To install a filter, insert the
filter, with magnetic strips facing up, into the bottom cavity of the shelf.
Replace fan filter. Momentarily depress ALARM RESET button.

22. Is FILTER REPLACE LED lighted on fan shelf?
If YES, then continue with Step 23.
If NO, then STOP. YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.

CAUTION:
If the air flow sensor element is disturbed during cleaning, it may cause
the fan shelf to go out of calibration and cause the DDM-2000 equipment
to overheat. If experienced personnel are not available to clean the air
flow sensor element, it is recommended you replace the fan shelf.
NOTE:
Trouble in fan shelf or air flow sensor. Replace fan shelf or clean air flow
sensor within 4 hours of minor alarm indication. Service interruption
and/or circuit pack failure may occur if fan shelf is not replaced.
Are you going to clean the air flow sensor or replace the fan shelf?
If REPLACE FAN SHELF, then continue with Step 24.
If CLEAN SENSOR, then proceed to Step 26.

CAUTION:
If the fan shelf is removed, exercise care in removing the fiber tray or fiber
support bracket to prevent damage to the optical fibers.
NOTE:
To remove a fan shelf located between two OC-3 shelves it may be
necessary to remove either the fiber tray from the top OC-3 shelf, if it is a
G1 shelf, or the fiber support bracket, if the shelf is a G3 or G4 shelf.
Replace fan shelf.
25. STOP. YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
