Remote CIT Location

At the remote CIT location, set the terminal parameters to match those set at
the DDM-2000 location. Refer to manufacturer's manual for instructions on
setting modem parameters.

Connect the remote modem to the CIT terminal using the appropriate modem
cable. Tables B and C list the pins for the DB-25 connector and DB-9
connector, respectively.

Verify the telephone line is plugged into the modem.

NOTE:
Characters other than a question mark (?), carriage return (<cr>),
semicolon (;), dollar sign ($), or the numbers 1 through 8 are ignored.
Typing a carriage return more than twice by mistake will cause the
system to start a session with the default shelf. The default shelf is the
shelf that is physically connected to the CIT.
NOTE:
Security is available to protect against unauthorized access to the
system. If security is enabled, users must enter a valid login and
password to access the system.
NOTE:
To set baud rate automatically, enter two carriage returns (<cr>), two
lowercase "a"s (aa), or two uppercase "A"s (AA). All other characters are
ignored.
Dial into the DDM-2000 system by entering the correct telephone number.
When the modem at the DDM-2000 end answers, establish a login session by
pressing RETURN (<cr>) until the system answers. CIT should return with the
following prompt:

NOTE:
Entering just a carriage RETURN at the shelf prompt will connect you to
the shelf physically connected to the CIT.
Enter the shelf number and/or carriage RETURN for the shelf being accessed.
