NOTE:
If external timing mode is used and bay mult cables for DS1 timing
references connect shelves in a bay, removing a TGS circuit pack causes
a momentary loss of the associated incoming DS1 timing reference. This
may result in a inc. DS1 sync. ref. LOS alarm on all shelves
above this shelf that are connected to the same bay mult cabling. This
momentary loss of timing reference does not affect transmission.
Remove old TGS circuit pack from TIMING slot 1.
10. Momentarily depress the UPD/INIT pushbutton on the SYSCTL.
11. Insert new BBF2B/BBF2C TGS or BBF4 TG3 circuit pack into TIMING slot 1.

NOTE:
The critical (CR) alarm LED may light for up to 15 seconds after the
UPD/INIT button is depressed on the SYSCTL. This does not indicate a
service interruption.
Momentarily depress the UPD/INIT pushbutton on the SYSCTL.

13. Remove old TGS circuit pack from TIMING slot 2.
14. Insert new BBF2B/BBF2C TGS or BBF4 TG3 circuit pack into TIMING slot 2.

15. If a CIT is available, use the rtrv-sync: command to display the
provisioning and operational information of the synchronization interface.
16. STOP. YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
FAULT LED lights on TGS/TG3 circuit pack in TIMING
slot 1.
FAULT LED lights on TGS circuit pack in TIMING slot 2.
FAULT LED goes off on TGS/TG3 circuit pack in TIMING
slot 1 after about 15 seconds. ACTIVE LED goes off on
TGS circuit pack in TIMING slot 2 and lights on TGS/TG3
circuit pack in TIMING slot 1.
Red FAULT LED on TGS/TG3 circuit pack in slot 2 lights
for about 15 seconds then goes off.
