Automatic Transmission
A/T Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve C Test
1. Disconnect the connector from A/T clutch pressure
control solenoid valve C.
2. Measure A/T clutch pressure control solenoid
valve C resistance at the solenoid valve connector.
Standard: 3 10
3. If the resistance is out of standard, replace the A/T
clutch pressure control solenoid valve C.
4. Connect the No. 1 terminal of A/T clutch pressure
control solenoid valve C to the battery positive
terminal, and connect the No. 2 terminal to the
battery negative terminal. A clicking sound should
be heard. Remove A/T clutch pressure control
solenoid valve C if no sound is heard.
5. Check the fluid passage of A/T clutch pressure
control solenoid valve C for dust and dirt.

6. Connect the No. 1 terminal of A/T clutch pressure
control solenoid valve C to the battery positive
terminal, and connect the No. 2 terminal to the
battery negative terminal. Make sure A/T clutch
pressure control solenoid valve C (A) moves.
7. Disconnect one of the battery terminals and check
valve movement.
NOTE: You can see the valve movement through
the fluid passage in the mounting surface of the
body (B).
8. If the valve binds, or moves sluggishly, or if the
solenoid does not operate, replace A/T clutch
pressure control solenoid valve C.
