Idle Control System
A/C Signal Circuit Troubleshooting (cont'd)
'01 Model
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the A/C pressure switch 4P connector.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
4. Measure voltage between PCM connector
terminals A26 and E21.
PCM CONNECTORS
A (31P)
LG1 (BRN/BLK)
E (31P)
Wire side of female terminals
Is there about 5 V ?
YES Go to step 5.
NO Go to step 12.
5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
6. Reconnect the A/C pressure switch 4P connector.
7. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).

8. Momentarily connect PCM connector terminals A26
and E12 with a jumper wire several times.
ACC (RED)
Is there a clicking noise f rom the A/ C compressor
clutch?
YES
ACS
(BLU/RED)
NO
9. Start the engine.
10. Turn the blower switch ON.
11. Turn the A/C switch ON.
Does the A/ C operate?
YES
NO
12. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
13. Disconnect PCM connector E (31P).
PCM CONNECTORS
A (31P)
LG1 (BRN/BLK)
JUMPER WIRE
Wire side of female terminals
Go to step 9.
Go to step 15.
The air conditioning signal is OK.
Go to step 16.
