ENGINE REMOVE AND REPLACE
REMOVAL PROCEDURE CONTINUED
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT:
- Lock nuts that hold motor mount to cross
member assembly - one on each side - leave
complete mount assemblies on engine.
Install engine lift fixture or chain to engine.
Lift engine high enough for motor mount studs
to clear crossmember mounts. Place a
2"
x
4"
block under lower edge of transaxle for
support.
Pull engine forward and out of chassis.
CAUTION
Exercise extreme care during engine removal,
since even minimal flywheel flexplate damage
may result in a "no-run" condition.
