VACUUM
CAPSULE
The vacuum capsule varies the fluid pressure to suit
the engine
load.
CHECKING THE VACUUM
CAPSULE
•
Engine stopped
• Check the routing
of the vacuum hose.
• Connect a manual
vacuum
pump to the vacuum
hose disconnected
from
the intake
manifold.
•
If the reading
is incorrect,
perform
the test again
directly
on the
capsule.
If the
result
is good,
change the hose, if it is not, change the capsule.
• Also make sure that the connection
on the intake
manifold
is in good
condition.

REMOVAL
•
Disconnect
the
hose, remove
stop plate
(2) and
unscrew the capsule.
REFITTING
• Oil the capsule
(black
rubber)

applied

INCORRECT
• Screw the capsule in 2 1/2 to 3 turns and attach
lock plate
(2).
• TOP UP THE
FLUID AND
ADJUST THE FLUID
