COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR (CTS) TEST

WARNING
Do not loosen the temperature sensor with the
system hot and pressurized because serious burns
from coolant can result.
Remove the temperature sensor and replace it with
a plug to prevent loss of coolant.
ELECTRICAL TEST
To simplify electrical tests, the wire harness
connector terminals and pins are assigned with
reference numbers.
Measure the sensor resistance in relation to
temperature with an ohmmeter after a temperature
stabi Iization ti me of at least 10 minutes.
Refer to the resistance chart.
