Transceiver Location and Package Pin Relation

MGT Package Pins

The MGT is a hard core placed in the FPGA fabric. All package pins for the MGTs are
dedicated on the Virtex-4 FX device, as documented in the pinout tables and pinout
diagrams in the Virtex-4 Packaging and Pinout Specification, UG075. When creating a
design, LOC constraints must be used to implement a specific MGT on the die and also
determine which package pins are used. An MGT tile contains two transceivers. LOC
GT11_XnYeven is associated with MGTB and LOC GT11_XnYeven+1 is associated with
MGTA.
