FUNCTIONS YOU CAN ENTER FROM OUTSIDE PHONES

The following table lists functions that can be entered from outside phones after the auto
attendant answers.

FUNCTIONS YOU CAN ENTER IN COMMAND MODE

The following table lists functions you can enter in command mode from a local extension or an
outside phone. Enter command mode by either pressing # on an analog extension phone, or
*55# on an IP phone. When prompted, enter the system password + #. You can then enter
the command.

Enters command mode.
Function performed
Performs the action defined in the auto attendant configuration.
Rings at the local extension (e.g. 111).
Rings at the remote extension (e.g. 211).
Rings the VoIP number (e.g. 250). There are 50 VoIP numbers in a
TalkSwitch VoIP network.
Rings all the extensions in the ring group (e.g. 301). There are
ten ring groups for the entire system.
Causes the system to call you back at the current prompted call
back number, after you hang up.
Causes the system to prompt you for your password and then the
new prompted call back number. After you hang up, the system
calls you back.
Transfers a caller on hold to another phone system used in
conjunction with TalkSwitch. As soon as the call connects to the
other system, it disconnects from TalkSwitch.
Accesses a hunt group for call bridge and is protected with the
call bridge password.
Accesses call bridge using Same Line Connect. Requires 3–way
calling/conference on the line.
Dials into a local, remote or general voice mailbox to leave
a message.
Accesses voicemail of a local, remote or general voice mailbox.
You can retrieve messages, change greetings, password, etc.
Function performed
TalkSwitch tell you the Unit ID of the unit you are connected to.
Assigns a Unit ID (1 to 4).
TalkSwitch tells you which mode it is currently using.
Switch modes (1 = mode 1, 2 = mode 2, 3 = holiday mode).
Record auto attendant message (1 to 9).
