SETTING UP YOUR TS-400 PHONE

OVERVIEW

There are four programmable options for the TS-400. They are:
• Area code — 7-digit local dialling
• Area codes — 10-digit local dialling
• Line access code
• Paging mode
Area Codes — 7- & 10-digit Dialling
For use outside of North America, do not program any area codes. When calling from
the Caller ID (CLID) list, numbers will be dialled exactly as received from the network.

Outside Line Access Code

The outside line access code is dialed prior to any number over 6 digits stored in the
directory, speed dial buttons, or the call log. A stored number with 6 or fewer digits is
considered an internal number. The outside line access code is not dialed for an internal
call. A 3 second pause is inserted automatically between the outside line access code
and the phone number.
Enabling your extension for Direct Line Access allows you to access the outside phone
lines directly, without having to enter a line access code. If your TalkSwitch extension
is programmed for Direct Line Access, enter
ensure that features and dialling operate properly for your extension. Refer to your
