Telephone companies offer a range of services on their telephone lines. The range of services
varies by telephone company, and some services may not be available on all lines. Please consult
your local telephone company for feature availability. Many of the services offered by your local
telephone company are compatible with and enhanced by TalkSwitch's capabilities.
Use of services may require a subscription or incur service charges.

CALLER ID

The Caller ID service displays the phone number and name associated with an incoming call.
Caller ID is also referred to as Caller Identity, Call Display, Caller Display, Calling Number Display,
or IdentiCall.
The TalkSwitch unit can pass the caller ID to its local extensions when incoming calls are
transferred by the auto attendant. If a local extension is configured to ring at least twice before
the auto attendant answers, TalkSwitch will pass the caller ID to that extension. If a call is
transferred from one extension to another, the caller ID will also be passed on. The TalkSwitch
unit can use the time stamp from the caller ID to set its internal clock.

DISTINCTIVE RING

The Distinctive Ring service provides multiple phone numbers on one telephone line. Each phone
number causes the phone to ring with a different ring pattern. The ring patterns have one, two,
or three rings in each burst. The ring pattern identifies the number that was dialed. The service
allows a different phone number for a fax machine or home-based business on one
telephone line.
Distinctive ring is also referred to as Ident-A-Ring, Ident-A-Call, Ring Master, Teen Service,
Double Number, Personal Ringing, Ring Plus, Smart Ring Service, Special Ring, or
Customized Ringing.
The TalkSwitch unit supports a main phone number and two distinctive ring phone numbers on
each telephone line. It can detect the distinctive rings and use them for:
Routing fax, modem and voice calls to a fax machine, modem or auto attendant.
Separating home and office calls.
Using auto call back.

VOICEMAIL

The Voicemail service gives callers the opportunity to leave a message when your telephone line
is busy or unanswered. Voicemail is also referred to as Call Answer. TalkSwitch can work in
conjunction with your telephone company's Voicemail service.
