2. Set the Single digit fall through time to how long the auto attendant will wait after the caller
dials a single digit. Once the wait time elapses, the auto attendant processes the entry.
Choices range from immediately to 4 seconds.
Selecting immediately limits each entry to a single number. The other selections allow callers
to enter extension and ring group numbers.
If the caller dials three digits, the auto attendant immediately processes the entry.
3. Select the Minimum required time to detect a DTMF digit. This is how long the caller must
press the number key on their phone for the TalkSwitch unit to detect a valid digit. Choices
range from 40 ms. to 100 ms.
Adjust this if callers are misdirected after selecting options using the auto attendant. Use a
shorter time if the TalkSwitch unit appears to have trouble hearing the digits. Use a longer
time if the auto attendant is misdirecting callers.
4. Select the Minimum required time between DTMF digits. This is how long the caller must wait
after releasing the number key on their phone for the TalkSwitch unit to detect the next
digit. Choices range from 30 ms. to 80 ms.
Use a longer time if the auto attendant is misdirecting callers due to echoed digits from cell
phones. For example, calls are misdirected to extension 111. This can happen if the caller
dials a different extension number (e.g. 113), but the telephone network echoes the 1, so
the TalkSwitch unit hears 1113. It captures the first three digits, ignores the 3, and
misdirects the call to extension 111.
Extensions > Regular Analog Extensions
The Extensions > Regular Analog Extensions command allows you to set analog extension
timers and the volume level.
1. Choose Troubleshooting > Extensions > Regular Analog Extensions. The Regular Analog
Extensions window appears.
2. Set the Minimum length of the Flash to the shortest duration considered to be an intentional
Flash from a local extension. Choices range from 300 ms to 650 ms.
