Event storage

You can configure the number of historical events in the repository as well as how long the events
will be retained.

Configuring event storage

To configure event storage, complete the following steps.
1. Select Server > Options.

The Options dialog box displays

Depending on your installation, the maximum number of events stored are as follows:
Professional—1 through 100,000
Professional Plus—1 through 1,000,000
Enterprise—1 through 10,000,000
Older events are purged at midnight on the date the maximum event limit is reached
regardless of the retention days.
The events are purged at midnight on the last day of the retention period regardless of the
number of maximum events.
