– Disconnect the connector -B- from the Left Footwell Vent Tem‐
perature Sensor - G261- -A-.
– Rotate the Left Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor - G261-
-A- approximately 90° in the direction of the -arrow-.
Note
If there is not enough room to rotate Left Footwell Vent Temper‐
ature Sensor - G261- -A-, loosen the air channel to the left footwell
-E- from the A/C unit (remove the air channel -C- and slide air
channel to left footwell -E- slightly downward).
– Remove the Left Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor - G261-
-A- from the air channel to the left footwell -E-.
Installing
– Check the O-ring seal -D- for damage and proper fitting.
– Insert the Left Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor - G261-
-A- on proper side into the air channel mount -F-.
Note
An O-ring seal -D- is installed so that Left Footwell Vent Temper‐
ature Sensor - G261- fits without play in mount -F-.
– Connect the connector -B- to Left Footwell Vent Temperature
Sensor - G261- -A- and check wire routing.
– Install the remaining removed components again in reverse
order.
– Check the DTC memory for the Climatronic control module -
J255- A/C control head and erase any faults displayed if
necessary. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester via the "Guided
Fault Finding" function.
9.7 Left Footwell Door Motor - V108- , Re‐
moving and Installing, "Comfort" Version
Note
Only installed on vehicles with a "Comfort" version A/C system

On vehicles with a Climatronic Control Module - J255- front A/
♦
C control head "Basic" version, the left and right footwell doors
are operated by the Left Footwell Door Motor - V108- (both left
and right doors are connected to each other via a shaft, motor
is installed at right on the A/C unit).
