– Unscrew the cover -A- and remove it with seal -B-.
WARNING
♦ Refrigerant must be extracted from refrigerant circuit be‐
fore removing sealing cap -D-. If the circlip -C- and sealing
cap -D- are not removed within 10 minutes after extraction,
pressure may build up in refrigerant circuit by renewed
evaporation. Extract the refrigerant once more.
– Check the refrigerant circuit pressure using, for example, a
pressure gauge from the A/C service station. Refer to ⇒ A/C
System with Refrigerant R134a; Rep. Gr. 87 ; Refrigerant Cir‐
cuit (A/C System with Refrigerant R134a; Refrigerant Circuit,
Using Service Station).
WARNING
Only remove the circlip -C- when pressure in refrigerant circuit
is the same or less than the ambient pressure.
– Press. Press sealing cap -D- into the receiver/dryer in the di‐
rection of the -arrow-
Note
The sealing cap -A- is sealed by two O-ring seals -C- in the re‐
ceiver/dryer, if these O-ring seals should be dried out during
operating time, sealing cap -A- can only be pressed into receiver/
dryer and then removed with difficulty, if necessary clean inside
of receiver/dryer -B- and then coat it lightly with refrigerant oil.
– Loosen the circlip -C- and remove it
– Screw in one cylinder bolt (with a M5 thread at this time) into
thread of sealing cap -D- and pull out sealing cap -D- using
pliers on the bolt.
