– If necessary, clean upper area of inside surface of receiver/
dryer -B- and coat it lightly with refrigerant oil.
– Replace the cap -A- and the O-rings -C-. Refer to the Parts
Catalog.
– Coat new O-ring seal -C- of the new cap -A- lightly with refrig‐
erant oil before installing. Refer to
⇒ "3.6 Refrigerant Circuit O-Ring Seals", page 26
– Take the new dryer bag -D- out of the transport packing and
install it. Refer to the Parts Catalog.
Note
Do not install any dryer bag that has been exposed to the air
longer than absolutely necessary because it will have absor‐
bed moisture from the air. This includes cartridges that were
not stored in their original packaging or whose packaging is
damaged. Refer to ⇒ A/C System with Refrigerant R134a;
Rep. Gr. 87 ; A/C System General Information (A/C System
with Refrigerant R134a; A/C System General Information).
A dryer cartridge which has been exposed to ambient air is
rapidly saturated with moisture and therefore cannot be used.
– Install the cap -D- and secure it with the circlip -C-.
