Coolant Shut-Off Valve N82 , Removing And Installing - Audi Q7 2007 Repair Manual

– Loosen the hoses with the Coolant Recirculation Pump - V50-
-E- from the vehicle.
– Mark the arrangement of the coolant hoses -D- (supply to
heater core) and -C- (supply from engine).
– Clamp off the coolant hose to the heater core -B- (for example,
using Hose Clamps - Up To 25 mm - 3094- ).
– Disconnect the connector -A- from the Coolant Recirculation
Pump - V50- .
– Remove the bolts -F- and -G-.
– Clamp off the coolant hose (from engine) -C- (for example,
using Hose Clamps - Up To 25 mm - 3094- ).
Note
If the coolant hose -C- (different versions) should be too short

to clamp, seal it, for example, using a sealing plug after dis‐
connecting.

– Disconnect the coolant hoses -C- and -D- from Coolant Re‐
circulation Pump - V50- .
– Remove the Coolant Recirculation Pump - V50- -E-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Note
With a discharged coolant circuit, a new Coolant Recirculation

Pump - V50- -E- may only be operated only after the coolant
circuit has been charged. The dry-running of a new pump may
destroy it.
Since only a small amount of coolant flowed out of the coolant
♦
circuit when removing the Coolant Recirculation Pump - V50-
-E- as described above, the coolant flows immediately into
Coolant Recirculation Pump - V50- after installing and remov‐
ing the hose clamps, and there is no danger of dry-running the
pump.
– Connect 2-pin harness connector -A- to pump only after re‐
moving the hose clamps.
– Re-install the remaining removed components.
– Bleed the coolant circuit. Refer to
⇒ "7 Coolant Circuit, Bleeding", page 78
– Add coolant, if necessary. Refer to ⇒ Engine Mechanical;
