Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sen‐
sor - G262- , Removing and Installing
Note
Only installed on vehicles with a "Comfort" version A/C system
– Remove glove box. Refer to ⇒ Body Interior; Rep. Gr. 68 ;
Storage Compartments and Covers .
– Remove the Front Information Display Control Head Control
Module - J523- / Information Electronics Control Module 1 -
J794- . Refer to ⇒ Communication; Rep. Gr. 91 ; MMI
Infotainment
– Disconnect the connector -B- from the Right Footwell Vent
Temperature Sensor - G262- -A-.
– Rotate the Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor - G262-
-A- approximately 90° in direction of arrow.
Note
If there is not enough room to rotate the Right Footwell Vent Tem‐
perature Sensor - G262- -A-, disengage the air channel to right
footwell -E- from the A/C unit (remove the air channel -C- and slide
it slightly downward to the right footwell -E-).
– Remove the Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor - G262-
-A- from the air channel to right footwell -E-.
Installing
– Check the O-ring seal -D- for damage and proper fitting.
– Insert the Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor - G262-
-A- on proper side into air channel mount -F-.
Note
An O-ring seal -D- is installed so that the Right Footwell Vent
Temperature Sensor - G262- fits without play in mount -F-.
– Connect the connector -B- to the Right Footwell Vent Tem‐
perature Sensor - G262- -A- and check wire routing.
– Install the remaining removed components again in reverse
order.
– Check the DTC memory for the Climatronic control module -
J255- A/C control head and erase any faults displayed if
necessary. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester via the "Guided
Fault Finding" function.
