General Information

Note
Vehicles with a 6-cylinder engine, an 8-cylinder TDI engine or

a 12-cylinder TDI engine have a compressor with a belt pulley.
On an 8-cylinder FSI vehicle, the compressor is driven by a
shaft.
Depending on the engine and the country, different A/C com‐

pressors are installed (6-, 8- or 12-cylinder gasoline or diesel
engines). Refer to the Parts Catalog.
Different versions of the pulley are installed, depending on

compressor construction type and engine version . Refer to
the Parts Catalog.
