For RHD vehicles, additional steps are required for removing
and installing various components on the A/C unit (for exam‐
ple, for the Right Temperature Door Motor - V159- ) due to the
pedal assembly. For example, the procedure for removing the
right temperature door motor -V159- is the same as it is for
removing the Left Temperature Door Motor - V158- for an LHD
vehicle.
From MY 2009, certain vehicles with a 6-cylinder TDI engine
without an "auxiliary heater", have an Auxiliary Heater Heating
Element - Z35- installed depending on the emissions standard
(running change depending on the engine). Refer to the Audi
Sales Program and the Parts Catalog.
For more information regarding the Auxiliary Heater Heating
Element - Z35- (activating, functionality, checking, etc.), refer
to
⇒ "8.4 Auxiliary Heater Heating Element Z35 , Checking",
page 85
, Auxiliary Heater Heating Element - Z35- removing
and installing (refer to
⇒ "9.19 Auxiliary Heater Heating Element Z35 , Removing and
Installing", page 140
and Component locations.
From MY 2011, this vehicle has a Start/Stop System for spe‐
cific engines as optional equipment. A Humidity Sensor -
G355- is also installed in the base of the mirror on the
windshield in vehicles with a start/stop system (not pictured in
the following illustration).
The signal from the Humidity Sensor - G355- (only installed on
vehicles with the start/stop system) is evaluated directly by the
Climatronic Control Module - J255- front A/C control head. The
measured values for the humidity sensor -G355- are then di‐
rectly transferred to the climatronic control module -J255- via
a local data bus. Therefore make sure that the equipment,
coding and adaptation for the climatronic control module -
J255- is correct. Refer to the Parts Catalog and use the Vehicle
Diagnostic Tester via the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
If the climatronic control module -J255- detects a possible
warning based on the measured values from the humidity
sensor -G355- , such as the humidity is too high in the vehicle
interior causing the windows to fog up, the climatronic control
module -J255- prevents the stop function from activating or
interrupts an already active stop function and starts the en‐
gine. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester via the "Guided Fault
Finding" function.
