Removing
– Discharge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to ⇒ A/C System with
Refrigerant R134a; Rep. Gr. 87 ; Refrigerant Circuit (A/C Sys‐
tem with Refrigerant R134a; Refrigerant Circuit, Using Service
Station).
– Depending on vehicle equipment, remove the fitted foam sec‐
tion under the left luggage compartment lining (refer to ⇒ Body
Interior; Rep. Gr. 70 ) or the air suspension pressure reservoir
(refer to ⇒ Suspension, Wheels, Steering; Rep. Gr. 43 ).
Note
The air suspension pressure reservoir is not removed and the

pressurized air system is not opened. Therefore make sure
that pressurized air line is not kinked, yanked or otherwise
damaged.
So that the pressure reservoir can be detached and set aside,

the emergency wheel or the Bass Speaker - R100- must be
removed, depending on vehicle equipment.
