– Disconnect the connectors -B- and -C- from the Fresh Air
Blower Control Module - J126- .
– Remove the bolts -A-.
– Remove the Fresh Air Blower Control Module - J126- -D-.
Continuation for version "2"
– Disconnect the connectors -B- and -C- from the Fresh Air
Blower Control Module - J126- .
– Remove the bolts -A-.
– Remove the Fresh Air Blower Control Module - J126- -D-.
Installing
– Install the Fresh Air Blower Control Module - J126- according
to the version of the A/C system.
– Install the remaining removed components again in reverse
order.
– Check the DTC memory for the Climatronic control module -
J255- A/C control head and erase any faults displayed if
necessary. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester via the "Guided
Fault Finding" function.
– If necessary, perform a basic setting and output diagnostic test
mode on the A/C system. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
via the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

moving and Installing
Note
Versions vary for vehicles ( Climatronic Control Module - J255-

front A/C control head) with A/C system version "Comfort" and
"Basic". Refer to the Parts Catalog.
With Recirculation Door Motor Position Sensor - G143- on

"Comfort" version A/C system
On vehicles with "Basic" version A/C system, the control motor
♦
is moved only to its two end positions over the activation period
by the Climatronic Control Module - J255- front A/C control
head, it is not possible to detect malfunctions because of a
missing potentiometer.
Removing
– Switch off ignition.
– Remove the lower right instrument panel trim. Refer to ⇒ Body
Interior; Rep. Gr. 70 ; Instrument Panel; Instrument Panel,
Removing and Installing .
