17 - Bracket for clutch sensor

Removing and installing brake pedal -
left-hand drive vehicles
Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Torque wrench - V.A.G 1410-
Removing
– Remove driver's storage compartment. ⇒ Rep. gr. 68
– Remove brake light switch
– Remove brake light sensor
– Separate brake pedal from brake servo
– Remove hexagon socket head flange bolt -3-.
– Loosen retaining clip -1- on the right side and pull out pin -5-.
– Take out brake pedal.
Installing
Install in reverse sequence, paying attention to the following:
Attaching brake pedal to brake servo
– Hold ball head of push rod in front of mounting and push brake
pedal towards brake servo so that ball head audibly locks into
place.
– Install brake light switch
– Install brake light sensor
Caution
Make sure that the brakes work properly before the vehicle is
driven on the road.
