– Remove screws -2-.
– Disconnect the connector from the Left Rear Temperature
Door Motor - V313- and remove the control motor.
Installing
– Install the removed components again in reverse order.
– Check DTC memory of the Climatronic Control Module - J255-
front A/C control head (and of Rear A/C Display Control Head
- E265- ) and erase any DTCs displayed. Use the Vehicle Di‐
agnostic Tester via the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
– If necessary, perform a basic setting and output diagnostic test
mode on the A/C system. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
via the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

Right Rear Vent Temperature Sensor -
G406- and Left Rear Vent Temperature
Sensor - G405- , Removing and Instal‐
ling
– Switch off ignition.
– Remove the left side wall trim in luggage compartment. Refer
to ⇒ Body Interior; Rep. Gr. 70 ; Trim; Luggage Compartment
Side Trim Panel, Removing and Installing .
– Remove the insulation on the rear A/C unit.
– Mark the connectors to the vent temperature sensors -B- and
-C- (risk of interchange).
– Rotate the desired vent temperature sensor ( Right Rear Vent
Temperature Sensor - G406- -A- or Left Rear Vent Tempera‐
ture Sensor - G405- -D-) approximately 90° in the direction of
the -arrow-.
– Remove the desired vent temperature sensor from air chan‐
nel.
Installing
– Check the O-ring seal -E- for damage and proper fitting.
– Insert the vent temperature sensor into air channel mount
-F-.
Note
An O-ring seal -E- is installed so that vent temperature sensor fits
without play in mount -F-.
