– Remove the bolts -A-.
– Disconnect the connector from the Left Rear Air Door Motor -
V239- -B- and remove the control motor -C-.
Installing
– Check position of control motor shaft -F-, it must be located
approximately in the position depicted (at stop -G-).
– Insert the control motor onto the shaft -E- of door -D-.
Note
The control motor may only be inserted into the position in
which force is not needed. If control motor can only be slid on
with initial force, check shaft of door -E-, it may be twisted (door
-D- is not in the position "closed" depicted).
If motor shaft -F- is not in the position depicted (it can only be
connected on to shaft in this position), connect terminals "5"
and "6" of control motor via a 5A fuse to a 12 V battery, for
example, using adapter lead (refer to
⇒ "9.11 Preparing Adapter Cables for Control Motor Actua‐
tion", page 117
) (or an adapter lead from the Connector Test
Set - VAG1594/C- ). Rotate control motor for as long until the
shaft is located in the position depicted (control motor can be
connected without initial force), the turning direction can be
reversed by switching positive and negative.
– Install the removed components again in reverse order.
– Check DTC memory of the Climatronic Control Module - J255-
front A/C control head (and of Rear A/C Display Control Head
- E265- ) and erase any DTCs displayed. Use the Vehicle Di‐
agnostic Tester via the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
– If necessary, perform a basic setting and output diagnostic test
mode on the A/C system. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
via the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

With the Left Rear Temperature Door Position Sensor - G391-
Removing
– Switch off ignition.
– Bring the rear A/C unit into service position. Refer to
⇒ "9.39 Rear A/C Unit, Bringing into Service Position",
page 180
.
– Remove (unhook) the lever -1- from the Left Rear Tempera‐
ture Door Motor - V313- .
