– Tighten the drive plate -C- to 35 Nm by rotating using a con‐
ventional band wrench (with webbed band) or a hex socket
wrench (depending on version) in direction of arrow -E-. Coun‐
ter-hold compressor shaft -A- using a retainer -B- (for exam‐
ple, using a socket or Extension with Counter Holder 2 -
T10001/10- from shock absorber set) on compressor shaft
-A-.
– Install circlip -A-.
– Clean drive plate of belt pulley -A- and glue plastic disc -B-
centered onto drive plate (only on A/C compressors with three
holes in the drive plate and without rubber disc on the circlip).
Note
Depending on production time period, drive plates -A- with
three holes (as shown) or one outer hex head on the front side
are installed. If necessary, install a plastic disc -B- on version
with three holes (not intended at this time on version with outer
hex head).
From MY 2007, circlips that have a rubber disc vulcanized on
to them are installed as a running change, do not glue plastic
disc on to these compressors.

Note
Currently, the A/C compressor with belt pulley version "2" is
installed in vehicles with 6-cylinder gasoline engine. Refer to
the Parts Catalog.
Pulley, removing from compressor and re-installing. Refer to

Version 2 ", page 42
Belt pulley version "2" is installed, for example on compressor
of "7 SEU 16" type.
