Extensive preparations are necessary in order to be able to

Input Shaft, Loosening
– Remove the components which prevent access to driveshaft.
Refer to
⇒ "16.4 Compressor, Removing and Installing (Vehicles with

– Hold compressor driveshaft -A- in place using a wrench and
turn compressor drive unit -B- in direction of arrow -C-.
Note
Do not turn the driveshaft -A- .

Input shaft -A- can be slid into drive wheel through the boot
♦
-E- after loosening threaded connection.
After installing driveshaft -A-, check installation position of
♦
boot -E-.
Input Shaft, Tightening
– Hold compressor driveshaft -A- in place using a wrench and
turn compressor drive unit -B- in direction of arrow -D- (tight‐
ening torque 60 Nm).
– After tightening compressor driveshaft, check installation po‐
sition of boot -E-
