– Bring the rear A/C unit into service position. Refer to
⇒ "9.39 Rear A/C Unit, Bringing into Service Position",
page 180
.
– Disconnect electrical connection -1- from Rear Fresh Air Blow‐
er - V80- .
– Gently lift tab -2- and rotate Rear Fresh Air Blower - V80- in
the direction of the -arrow-.
– Remove Rear Fresh Air Blower - V80- from heating and A/C
unit
Installing
– Install the removed components again in reverse order.
– Check DTC memory of the Climatronic Control Module - J255-
front A/C control head (and of Rear A/C Display Control Head
- E265- ) and erase any DTCs displayed. Use the Vehicle Di‐
agnostic Tester via the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
– If necessary, perform a basic setting and output diagnostic test
mode on the A/C system. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
via the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

Removing
– Switch off ignition.
– Remove the left side wall trim in luggage compartment. Refer
to ⇒ Body Interior; Rep. Gr. 70 ; Trim; Luggage Compartment
Side Trim Panel, Removing and Installing .
WARNING
The heat sink may be hot.
– Disconnect connectors -B- and -C- from Rear Fresh Air Blower
Control Module - J391- .
– Remove the bolts -A-.
– Remove the Rear Fresh Air Blower Control Module - J391-
-D-.
