– Disconnect the connector -B- from the Right Front Upper Body
Outlet Temperature Sensor - G386- -A-.
– Rotate the Right Front Upper Body Vent Temperature Sensor
- G386- -A- approximately 90° in direction of arrow.
– Remove the Right Front Upper Body Vent Temperature Sen‐
sor - G386- -A- from the A/C unit.
Installing
– Check the O-ring seal -D- for damage and proper fitting.
– Insert Right Front Upper Body Vent Temperature Sensor -
G386- -A- on proper side into the A/C unit mount -E-.
Note
An O-ring seal -D- is installed so that Right Front Upper Body Vent
Temperature Sensor - G386- fits without play in the mount -E-.
– Connect the connector -B- to the Left Front Upper Body Vent
Temperature Sensor - G385- -A- and check routing of wire
-E-.
– Install the retaining plate with control motors -V111- and -
V300- . Refer to
⇒ "9.27 Retaining Plate with Control Motors V111 and V300 ,
Removing and Installing", page 158
– Install the retaining plate with control motors -V158- and -
V109- . Refer to
⇒ "9.23 Retaining Plate with Control Motors V158 ( V159 ) and
V109 ( V108 ), Removing and Installing", page 153
– Install the remaining removed components again in reverse
order.
– Check the DTC memory for the Climatronic control module -
J255- A/C control head and erase any faults displayed if
necessary. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester via the "Guided
Fault Finding" function.
– If necessary, perform a basic setting and output diagnostic test
mode on the A/C system. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
via the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

Removing
– Switch off ignition.
– Remove the glove box. Refer to ⇒ Body Interior; Rep. Gr. 68 ;
Storage Compartments and Covers .
