Vehicle Diagnostic Tester via the "Guided Fault Finding" func‐
tion.
– Bleed the coolant circuit again, observe the notes for this as
well while doing this. Refer to
⇒ "7 Coolant Circuit, Bleeding", page 78
– On certain vehicles with a 6-cylinder TDI engine without an
"parking heater" but with an Auxiliary Heater Heating Element
- Z35- installed due a specific emission standard, check the
functionality and activation of the Auxiliary Heater Heating El‐
ement - Z35- . Refer to
⇒ "8.4 Auxiliary Heater Heating Element Z35 , Checking",
page 85
.
Note
If the Coolant Recirculation Pump - V50- causes noise, check the
coolant circuit bleeding before removing. Refer to
⇒ "7 Coolant Circuit, Bleeding", page 78

Removing
– Switch off ignition.
– Remove left front wheel.
– Remove the left front wheel housing liner. Refer to ⇒ Body
Exterior; Rep. Gr. 66 ; Wheel Housing Liners .
– Release the pressure in coolant circuit by opening the cap on
the coolant expansion tank. Refer to ⇒ Engine Mechanical;
Rep. Gr. 19 ; Coolant System .
