Rear Center Console Vents, Removing And Installing - Audi Q7 2007 Repair Manual

Removing
– Switch off ignition.
– Remove the air vent in rear center console. Refer to
⇒ "9.49 Rear Center Console Vents, Removing and Installing",
page 191 .
– Reach into the opening -A- and push the Rear A/C Display
Control Head - E265- -B- out of the center console.
Note
The Rear A/C Display Control Head - E265- -B- is secured in
center console with the retaining clips -C- (on upper and lower
sides).
– Disengage the catches of connectors -E- to -G- by pressing
retaining tabs -D- and disconnect them.
– On vehicles with heated rear seats, disengage the connector
for heated seat activation and disconnect the connector.
Installing
– Check the clips -C- on the Rear A/C Display Control Head -
E265- .
– Install the removed components again in reverse order.
– Check DTC memory of the Climatronic Control Module - J255-
front A/C control head (and of Rear A/C Display Control Head
- E265- ) and erase any DTCs displayed. Use the Vehicle Di‐
agnostic Tester via the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
– Check adaptation of the Rear A/C Display Control Head -
E265- . Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester via the "Guided
Fault Finding" function.
– If necessary, perform a basic setting and output diagnostic test
mode on the A/C system. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
via the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
9.49 Rear Center Console Vents, Removing
and Installing
Note
For removing and installing vents in rear center console -A-,

The vent in rear center console -A- is secured in the center

console by clips. Insert, for example, a Hook - 3438- -B- behind
the vent and pull it out of the center console.
