The coolant shut-off valve -N82-
is activated by the Climatronic
Control Module - J255- front A/C
control head (via the Engine
Coolant Shut-Off Valve Relay -
J541- ), when no heat is desired
in the passenger compartment.
Refer to Wiring diagrams, Trou‐
bleshooting and Component lo‐
cations. Use the Vehicle Diag‐
nostic Tester via the "Guided
Fault Finding" function.
The Heater Coolant Shut-Off
Valve - N82- is activated by the
Auxiliary Heater Control Module
- N279- when requested by the
climatronic control module -
J255- on vehicles with the op‐
tional "parking heater" and a
motor on which a coolant shut-off
valve -J255- would be activated
(observe the parking heater
adaptation). Use the Vehicle Di‐
agnostic Tester via the "Guided
Fault Finding" function.
17 - Water Pump - V36-
❑ Only installed on vehicles with 6-cylinder gasoline engine

Note
On vehicles with the "parking
heater" optional equipment, the
Coolant Recirculation Pump -
V50- is also installed on vehicles
with 6-cylinder gasoline engine.

The Water Pump - V36- is cur‐
rently installed at rear on the en‐
gine (between cylinder head and
plenum chamber front wall). Re‐
fer to ⇒ Engine Mechanical;
Rep. Gr. 19 ; Coolant Pump and
Thermostat; Coolant Pump, Re‐
moving and Installing .
18 - End of Refrigerant Lines to Evaporator in Rear Heating and A/C Unit
❑ Only present in vehicles with a rear A/C unit (optional equipment)
WARNING
♦ Bolts of the connection
points must only be loos‐
ened when refrigerant
circuit has been dis‐
charged.
