– Remove the condenser -B- upward, while doing this pay spe‐
cial attention to the condenser connection block -D-.
Note
Depending on version of vehicle (of engine), it may be necessary
to bring lock carrier -C- into service position (pull approximately
10 cm forward) in order to have sufficient clearance between ra‐
diator -A- and lock carrier -C- to remove the condenser connection
block -D-. Refer to ⇒ Body Exterior; Rep. Gr. 50 .
Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following.
– If necessary, fill refrigerant oil quantity in refrigerant circuit.
Refer to ⇒ A/C System with Refrigerant R134a; Rep. Gr. 87 ;
Refrigerant Circuit Components, Replacing (A/C System with
Refrigerant R134a; Refrigerant Circuit Components, Replac‐
ing).
– Following attachment, check routing of refrigerant pipes. They
must be inserted in holders provided and not make contact
with other components.
Note
The hose connections and the hoses for the charge are sys‐

tem must not have any oil or grease on them prior to installa‐
tion.
Secure all hose connections with hose clamps used in series
♦
production. Refer to the Parts Catalog.
– Install the fan shroud. Refer to ⇒ Engine Mechanical; Rep.
Gr. 19 .
– Install remaining components.
– Evacuate and refill the refrigerant circuit. Refer to ⇒ A/C Sys‐
tem with Refrigerant R134a; Rep. Gr. 87 ; Refrigerant Circuit
(A/C System with Refrigerant R134a; Refrigerant Circuit, Us‐
ing Service Station).
– Operate the A/C system after filling the refrigerant circuit. Re‐
fer to
⇒ "21 A/C System, Operating after Filling Refrigerant Circuit",
page 332 .

Observe the information regarding operating the A/C system after
filling. Refer to ⇒ A/C System with Refrigerant R134a; Rep. Gr.
