Installing and operating the IPBS and IPBL
In addition to the basic configuration for the IPBS Master, perform the following steps for a Multi
Base Station Master system:
On IPBS Master1:
In LDAP > Server tab, create a user with write access.
●
On IPBS Master2:
In DECT > System, use same system name, password, subscription, and authentication
●
settings as in IPBS Master 1 to get a common system.
In DECT > Radio, use the same system name as in the DECT System.
●
In DECT > Master, configure an individual Master ID for each IPBS Master in the range of
●
0 and 250. Use Master ID "0" for IPBS Master1, which is the LDAP server of the IP-DECT
system. All further IPBS Masters doing the LDAP replication should use a Master ID from
1 to 250. A standby Master must use the same Master ID as the corresponding IPBS
Master.
In DECT > SARI, do not configure any value. SARI is part of the IP-DECT database and is
●
configured automatically when the LDAP replication is enabled. Use the same SARI value
in each IPBS Master that is part of the common DECT system.
!
Important:
Using a different SARI value causes invalid subscriptions for all the subscribed

devices. Changing the SARI in one of the IPBS Masters changes the SARI on all
other IPBS Masters using the same LDAP database as well.
In DECT > PARI, you can use the same PARI value as used in IPBS Master1 if you do not
●
have an overlapping Coverage area of the two locations. If you have an overlapping
coverage area of both locations, you must use different PARI values.
In LDAP > Replicator, enable replication of the IPBS Master1, use the user with write
●
access.
Adding users
You can register cordless telephones in two ways:
Use the telephone to automatically associate the IPEI number to a user. See
●
Registration
Enter the IPEI number of the telephone manually. See

registrations
You can find the PARK to subscribe the DECT handsets on the user page of the IPBS
Master web interface. Use the PARK for the third-party devices to subscribe other DECT
GAP/CAP devices.
