Configuring the HTTP settings
The IPBS/IPBL is usually administered over the network using the http protocol. The default
port is 80.
In a secure system, you must administer the IPBS/IPBL through the https protocol with the
default port 443. If you cannot use port 443, use another port for the local https server and then
reach the IPBS/IPBL using this port.
Http and https traffic, respectively, are disabled if their port values are set to zero (0). Therefore:
To disable http traffic, set Port to 0. Avaya recommends that you disable http traffic in a
secure system. Attempts to contact the device using the http protocol will result in an
Unable to connect message.
To disable https traffic, set HTTPS Port to 0. Avaya does not recommend that you disable
https traffic.
Any other port values would enable http and https traffic, respectively, for the port specified.
