Internal and external antennas
In an environment with high reflections, such as most office environments, the difference in
coverage of the internal and external antennas is negligible. Both types of antennas provide
coverage to different areas. In an environment with low reflections, forward bias or directional
behavior of internal antennas is noticeable. For more information , see

horizontally in order to get more vertical coverage in for example stair wells.

Directional antennas
Use directional antennas in small corridors and halls. Different types of antenna have different
radiation patterns. Therefore, determine the type of antenna that is appropriate for your
application. For best results, mount the base stations on the ceiling, so that the antennas can
radiate vertically downwards. You can also use a beam that is very directional horizontally but
has a wider radiation pattern vertically or vice versa. For example, in an extremely high hall
ceiling. For this reason, you must always carry out a measurement to ensure the best possible
operation.
