Manual
1. Click the Activate Primary Trunks button. (This button is only available if there is any
Primary Trunk in Up mode.)
The Primary Trunks then enter Active mode and the Redundant Trunks cease to be active and
go to Standby mode. New calls go through the Primary Trunks and ongoing calls go through the
Redundant Trunks until the calls are finished.
Automatic
1. Select the Primary trunks prioritized check box.
2. Set the Supervision Timeout to the required time.
When the Primary Trunk returns back to Up mode, the Primary Trunk automatically
changes to Active mode when the supervision timer elapses. The timer is stopped if the
Primary Trunk goes to Down mode again and is restarted if the Primary Trunk returns back
to Up mode. This timeout ensures a stable Primary Trunk connection before switching
back the trunks for normal operation.
Enabling the radio
If the IPBS/IPBL is not used as a Radio, for example, only used as a PARI Master, select the
Disable check box to disable IPBS/IPBL.
1. Select DECT > Radio
2. Clear the Disable box.
3. To assign a PARI Master (see
explanation of PARI Master), enter the name and password of the PARI Master to connect
to. If this is the PARI Master, the internal name and password (found under DECT >
System) and the loopback address 127.0.0.1 should be used.
Configuring limit for RTP streams
You can limit the maximum number of RTP voice streams to the Base Station so that during a
handover, the traffic on ISDN lines to distant IPBS does not exceed the bandwitdh capacity of
the connecting links.
Note:
This configured limit includes the sum of calls over the air interface and forwarded

calls.
