To use the new database, you have to change the working database in SkanIt
Software. Select Settings > Options... > Database (see Changing the
working database" on page 290).
You can upgrade a database of an earlier software version to make it
compatible with a later software version. You are notified if the database is
not compatible with the current software version when you are selecting or
changing the database in SkanIt Software. You can upgrade a database
starting from SkanIt Software version 2.0.
Database name - Enter the name of the database you want to upgrade.
Note You can only upgrade databases within the same instrument
type.
Click the Upgrade button. You are notified when the upgrade has been
completed.
To use the upgraded database, you have to change the working database in
SkanIt Software. Select Settings > Options... > Database (see Changing
the working database" on page 290).
Make sure that the database you want to maintain is currently selected in
SkanIt Software. Follow the procedure below.
1.
Close the Database Manager, if it is running.
2.
Launch SkanIt Software.
3.
Select Settings > Options... > Database.
4.
Verify the used database engine. The database engine where the
working database is located is shown in the Database server name field.
The location is defined at installation (see Step 7 in Installing the
software" on page 26).
