2. Operation
1) Front Wheel Drive (FWD)
• The line
pre~sure
to the transfer
clutch is disconnected by the trans-
fer valve, and the clutch is kept in
the disconnected state.
• All power is transmitted from the
transmission to the front wheels
through the front hypoid gear.
During operation, both the drive
member and driven member of the
transfer clutch are rotating at the
same speed.
