Set Country Options

Certain country options need to be set to turn red failure indication LEDs off. Refer to
Codes,
on page 471 for a list of country codes.

is displayed. The cursor is set on the Companding Mode line.

If the country uses A-Law companding, type A-Law and press Enter.
The default companding mode is mu-Law.
Other items eventually need to be entered on this screen, but this is all that must be done to turn
the red alarm LEDs off.

If all red LEDs do not go off, reseat (unplug and reinsert) any port circuit packs displaying red
LEDs.
CAUTION:
To avoid a disk crash, never reseat the DEFINITY AUDIX System without first shutting it
down. Shut down the DEFINITY AUDIX System (and allow the disk to completely spin
down) before unplugging the assembly. See
