8.5.2.6 Controls - Monitoring functions

There are 4 monitoring functions available. Monitoring functions are especially required
for high printing speeds.

Controls - Monitoring functions

8.5.2.6.1 PrintGo monitoring

With this function is activated it is
monitored whether each Print-Go signal is
processed. If a signal can be not
processed, an error message pops up.
Example:
The PrintGo signal starts the printout.
If the next PrintGo signal occurs during the
printout an error message will pop up.

8.5.2.6.2 StrokeGo monitoring

The signals from an encoder are called
<StrokeGo signals>. These signals are
used for speed measurement in order to
control the print speed. A printout consists
of a number of continuous vertical
movements of the ink jet, the so called
<Strokes>. With the <StrokeGo
monitoring> activated the output of the
<Strokes> is monitored. If the <StrokeGo-
signals> are generated faster than the
printer can produce the <Strokes>, an
error message will pop up.

Example:
If the production speed and therefore the
frequency of the <StrokeGo signals> is
too high, stroke errors may be caused
and the following error message pops up:
