2. Deletion of graphic elements:
(Example: On side of a rectangle and a complete line shall be deleted)
Proceeding:
Start with the deletion of the line.
Select the <Selection> tool (2) from the the <Function> drop-down menu (1).
The selection frame is defined by two corner points (3) and (6) . Place the corner
points in a way that the selection frame covers the line to be deleted.
The <Coordinates> indicator (4) displays the respective positions of the corner
points. The <Status bar for the current tool> (5) provides information for each
step.
Select the <Delete> tool (8) from the <Edit> drop-down menu (7) .
The line covered by the selection frame will be deleted.
In the next step one side of the rectangle will be deleted.
Select the <Selection> tool (2) from the <Function> drop-down menu (1).
Define the first corner point for the selection frame (11). At this point the contour of
the rectangle will be interrupted. This point will be marked red.
Define the second corner of the selection frame (12). This point is positioned just
one dot below the first corner point. Actually this results not in a selection frame
but in a selection line.
Select the <Delete> tool (8) from the <Edit> drop-down menu (7).
The part of the rectangle covered by the selection frame will be deleted.
